A First Look at Bear Valley Church
Welcome
This a summary of who we are, the church's vision and how to get involved.

Vision Statement
Climbing together the upward trails of life, connecting, maturing and unleashing each other to move the world for Christ.
Climbing together shows that it is much easier to grow in your Christian faith and get through life in a community of Christians who are passionate about Jesus Christ, their faith and loving others. This involves getting connected. ( See the "Community Life", "Worship" and "Missions & Outreach" portions of this website)

The other huge aspect of connecting is to be connected with God. We believe that God forgives our sins when each of us believes through faith that Jesus Christ died to pay the price of our sins, and rose again. Then we are connected to God. God does it all no matter what your background happens to be! Then God can use you, being connected to Him and other Christians, to grow your faith to see God at work in and around you. This is exciting!

We believe that the Bible and our faith can be applied today in each of our personal lives. We offer Small Groups and Classes for our children, youth and adults to mature each one of us to be able to use our faith on life's upward trail.

We believe and practice that each of us are to be a light unleashed into the world around us to move the world for Christ. One can be led by God into unlimited ways to do this in our families, workplaces, neighborhoods, local area and distant parts of the world.

We invite all to connect, mature and be unleashed with us through the power of God.
  • There is one eternal all powerful unchanging God, our Creator, who has revealed Himself in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus Christ, God the Son, lived a perfect human life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven from where he will return.
  • God the Holy Spirit lives in all believers, enabling them to be more like Jesus and to serve others.
  • Our failure to meet God's standards separates us from God, BUT anyone who trusts and believes that Jesus died for their sins in their place, is forgiven of their sins and enters into a personal relationship with God.
  • The Church is a worshiping, learning and serving community of believers. Bear Valley Church is a local expression of that world-wide community. We regularly participate in two ordinances: Baptism when believers show they want to follow Jesus and the Lord's Supper to remember Christ's death and resurrection.
  • The Bible is God's inspired Word through which he tells us how to believe and live in today's world.
