Troop 808 is a ministry of Bear Valley Church. Our Troop members support and encourage one another in an environment where we are dedicated to the fulfilling the Scout vision of:
- Offering responsible fun and adventure
- Instilling lifetime values and developing ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law
- Training in citizenship, service, and leadership
- Serving our community and families with a quality, values-based program.
We meet every Thursday night between 7:00–8:30 p.m. throughout the year at Bear Valley Church, located at Jewell and Old Kipling in Lakewood. Our Scout meetings include learning and practicing Scouting skills, planning trips and special activities, working on merit badges, projects of interest to the Scouts, games, and fun.
Troop 808 has a year-round outings program, with an overnight outing scheduled for almost every month of the year. The Troop outings program is designed to provide the Scouts with fun, new skills, and advancement. In addition to meeting requirements for advancing in rank, outings provide opportunities for earning merit badges, including Camping, Hiking, Cooking, Backpacking, Pioneering, Orienteering, Wilderness Survival, and many others.
